JROTC Competes in 10K for Special Olympics
The Buckingham County High School JROTC Raider Team competed in the 25th annual Gene Arnold, 10K, Special Olympics Run, held at Meriwether Lewis Elementary School, in Charlottesville, Virginia on September14, 2019. The Raider Team donated $580.00 to Area 3 Special Olympics and fielded 26 runners and walkers. The Male Team, age 15 and under placed 1st and 2nd with Matthew Peery and Aiden Houchins earning the top two spots, while Tyler Moore placed 3rd in the 16 to 17 year old Male Division. The Raider Team has been an active participant in Area 3 Special Olympics since 2013.
